Jennie and Lucia Adams Collection 1845-1944.

19th- and 20th-century papers of Jennie and Lucia Adams, former owners of the Cedar Mound Plantation outside Clarksdale, Coahoma County, Mississippi. Primarily, this collection contains personal correspondence between Jennie Adams, Lucia Adams and their Mother, Catherine "Kate" Adams; other correspondence includes letters from Boyce Adams, Frank Black and Mrs. L.E. Bobo. Collection includes some antebellum correspondence from Alexander Kerr Boyce of South Carolina, an early settler of Coahoma County, as well. Other materials include recipes, photographs and a box of miscellaneous postcards.
